You leave the computer alone for one minute ...

I had to check the "history" and I found the most disgusting sites showing the exploited young poodles (i think under aged) dressed in little French maid outfits wearing diamond collars and smoking fine, long cigarettes.. OH LA LA LA The worst thing about this whole scenario is Harry corrupting his friend, Dolores, he is only about 9 months old.

Let the Unwinding Begin ... PLEASE

Today is Day 2 en France, will be night 3.
It is great to be away from Streatham and the evils that lay within. Harry and I arrived in Malesherbes on Tuesday evening about 22H30 so a nice 6 and 3/4 hour drive including a great ferry crossing (just queazy for a little minute).
Harry was still very stressed from the burgulary and the packing process (again), however, he soon settled down when in his sancturary of the car on his new stripy doona cover that he paid 89p for on e-bay for his uncle Ezio. I hope that he was not hurt in anyway by the burglars, but he has been a lot less relaxed than normal. Froggie took him for a huge run in the fields last night and he came back a very playful puppy and is calmer this morning, so that's a great thing.
I, on the other hand have a million things going around my head at the one time. The biggest of them all is being burgled and trying to figure out who knows all the goings on in the house and what equipment is where and who bought new stuff. I am totally annoyed that I have had to buy new things and of poorer quality because I have needed them and dont have the money to replace them. I am totally pissed off with the fact that I bought a new camera the day before being burgled and BINGO it's gone. It had 3 photos on it.
I bought an MP3 player for next to nix on ebay and for general random music and FM radio etc it's terrific but for trying to organise all my Italian MP3 files, it's a nightmare. I miss my I-pods so much and the facility in which they can be used.
My life sucks at the moment but I will get over it in time. I have been thinking of all the crap things that have happened to me and they seem to be clouding all the positive aspects, which I love being in London for. Ezio coined it perfectly the other night "Jordi has a love hate relationship with London" Unfortunately, there seems to be a little too much hate in this period. I certainly hope that from September life will improve to no end.
Off to Carrefour now, my treasure trove - going to check out digital cameras AGAIN. At least I am in the confort of knowing that my travel insurance will kick in if it gets stolen AGAIN. Ohh I will add photos of my forehead which I cut in the moving out of streatham process. ... so watch for the update.
Ciao, Salut, bye bye.

Harry Chilling Out

So Ezio has been playing with our Treos and trying to get them all to communicate with each other... Harry is laying back on his new doona which he bought on ebay for 89p or so. :) Poor Harry is still trying to cope with being burguled and seeing his papa packing up all their life AGAIN...
He is, however, aware that he is going on his own grand adventure to Portugal and Spain for 6 weeks or so ... whilst I go to Italy to learn some Italian and be with some gorgeous Italian people :)

Ciao Belli.

It sucks to be me - Take II

So the story starts with the not so sucky part in life and that was a great day out to Cadbury World for a nice day of professional development. For those not in the know about the huge salmonella outbreak in Britain last year with Cadbury's ... they were only fined £1 million, however the cost to the company was to their hit pocket the tune of about £70 million after they withdrew all the choccies off the shelf and implemented another, more rigorous HACCP plan. After eating too much chocolate and buying even more ... I headed back home where the horror started...

OK so horror could be a little dramatic, however, I arrived home and there was no Harry to be found, normally, he would be at the front door or on the stairwell to greet me. I looked outside to see if he had been put outside by the housemates but no. So I went up stairs to my bedroom and found that there was a CD case for my 'Learn Italian in a Day' on the landing, which was a little bizarre. To then see my bedroom door closed, upon opening it, my room was in a bigger mess that it was when I left it at 5am. Harry on the bed very very nervous and very happy to see me but freaked out.
We had been robbed again, some 4 weeks after the first time. They took the work laptop and my PDA and some money. they stole various other items from the other housemates. I have had enough of trying to cope with the life in south London, it kinda sucks at the moment.
I was supposed to go into work on Friday for the last day of the academic year, however, with my things being strewn across my room and a very stressed out Harry, police to contact and the life, I took the day off.
There is less stuff to have to carry and store now whilst I am overseas but there is more stuff that i have to buy now too. :( ... ahh it sucks to be me.
I seriously need to buy my own place or at least rent my own studio or the like when i get back into London after the holidays.

Bye bye

Summer Holidays Approaching Not Fast Enough

So here I am sitting in a 'free' period thinking that I want to be on holidays. You get to the stage in your life where you want to pack up everything and just run.
This time next week there will only be one day left before the 6 week holiday period will begin. I am heading to France for two weeks to drop Harry off for his holiday in France and Portugal. He will be staying and being chauffeured around by Froggie. I was having a chat with Ezio about Harry and we have decided that he is the luckiest, most spoilt dog in the universe with his travels and experiences. Harry is already excited about his trip because he knows how often he will be walked and he can play with the local dogs and have a ball of a time.
After France and having my car air conditioning fixed and new tyres on the front and passing the Controle Technique, I will head back to London on the 2nd August for a night or so to then catch my plane on the Saturday afternoon to Lecce, Italy. It is in the heel of Italy. I have booked myself into a 4 week intensive Italian course which includes a 7 day a week program for 4 weeks for cultural and language experience. There is a placement test on the first day ... I already know that I am in the absolute beginner's class but hey, Rome wasn't built in a day, was it?
So ... there is the plan for the summer holidays. Before then I have to pack everything up from the house I am staying in and try to find alternative accommodation when i come back to London. I cannot justify paying £600 for a room that I am not using over the summer holidays and when I know that the money will be sufficient to pay for all that I need when I am in Italy.
OK - until the next installment ... Ciao !!
